ASUS ZenWiFi AX IP Refresh Guide
🔄 1. Reset the DHCP Lease Pool
- Log in to your dashboard via the ASUS Web GUI.
- Navigate to Advanced Settings > LAN.
- Select the DHCP Server tab.
- Set Enable the DHCP Server to No and click Apply.
- Wait 30 seconds, then set it back to Yes and click Apply again.
🗑️ 2. Purge Ghost & Offline Devices
- Open the ASUS Router App on your phone.
- Tap the Devices tab at the bottom.
- Expand the Offline list.
- Tap the Select (or three dots) icon and choose Clean Offline List. This removes historical data for devices no longer connected.
⚙️ 3. Fix IP Conflicts & Manual Assignments
📍 Remove Stale Bindings
⏳ Shorten the Lease Time
⚡ 4. Final Force Refresh
Reboot the Router: Go to the Network Map and click Reboot at the top. This forces every physical device to request a new IP.
Client Refresh: On Windows PCs, you can manually speed this up by opening a command prompt and typing: ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew.
💡 Pro Tip: If you see “rogue” devices you don’t recognize even after a reset, consider changing your Wi-Fi password (WPA2/WPA3 Personal) to ensure no unauthorized neighbors are piggybacking on your Zen WIFI mesh.
